"Animals need a lot of light to feel well. Solljus means that I can afford that".

Mats Waltersson, farmer, Nordannälden, Jämtland, Sweden:

"Like people, the animals become alert when

it is bright. Brightness reduces their sleep hormone

melatonin and increases the milk production.

We chose Solljus because it delivers full

spectrum light at the least possible cost."

Solljus consumes here 55% less electricity than the best

tubes, partly because the tubes' luminous flux drops 25%

due to the low temperature in the cow-house.

Solljus is not affected by low temperature.

Mr. Håkan Olofsson at Elkedjan, Krokom, Sweden, installed the Solljus.
"It was surprisingly simple since the fixtures had so many attachment possibilities"
he said. "It was also positive that the light
opening was self trained on the floor by loosening and tightening the two wingnuts.

It was essential of course to choose an D-certified fixture in this environment."
