"We had to save money and get better lighting"

Janken Holm, president of ÖP-hallen, Östersund, Sweden:

"In Östersund's football hall the old lighting based on sodium lamps needed 35 kW. They delivered a yellow and tiring light."

"Now we have Solljus lighting fixtures. They need only 19 kW and save 46% on electricity. In addition the Solljus light is brighter and more even."

The hall is 45mX80m with a ceiling height of 14.7m. 120 Solljus 150 W are installed. Like before, half of the fixtures are on while training and all are on during matches. Solljus delivers 155 lux respectively 320 lux. The photos show the hall with half of the fixtures turned on.

Håkan Norlander at Johnsons El installed the Solljus fixtures.
"There was no problem", he said.
"I just screwed the fixtures on a fixture rail.
The feeding wires were already connected to junction boxes. From there I wired the Solljus fixtures."
